J & C Automotive has been serving the Placerville and El Dorado communities since 1983. We specialize in Transmission and Gear work, Foreign and Domestic. Our primary goal is to have our website convey the friendly, small town atmosphere that we operate under at our shop. We feel that it is important that you know as much about us as possible so that we can develop a mutually beneficial relationship.

We specialize solely in the service, repair and maintenance of your vehicle's drivetrain (automatic transmission, standard transmission, differentials and transfer cases) this allows us to have a highly trained staff focused on a specialty.
All of our personnel undergo continuous in house training. They also regularly attend seminars hosted by the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA) and the Automatic Transmission Service Group (ATSG) to keep us on top of this ever-changing industry.
